We pulled out of Gloucestershire this morning at about 10:00 and handed it back to G4x4R,
since then we have been fully occupied working for two Abulance Service trusts providing support to out of hours drs & nurses, transport of ambulance staff a couple of home carers and the like -- we were invited into the LRF "Silver conference" this morning.

After many tasks (so far not fully collated) we dropped back to standby effective as of 18:00 Sunday 10/01/10 pending the new snow anticipated on Tuesday 12/01/10.

Herefordshire Group have some members in the Forest of Dean area.
If we can help in the future let me know and I'll pass it on to Bryan our Controller.
I gave the number of Herefordshire EPO to Jim from Wales on Friday night but that may have been too late by then.
Sorry, I didn't see this post till now.

Hi Teresa, the best person to contact on that one would be Darren at Gloucesteshire 4x4 Response.

I've texted and emailed him over the last few days but I guess he's a wee bit busy! ;)
It's been a big learning experience for us all this week but we've come a long way in a week I think! It's definitely not been a boring start to the new year!

Yeap I'm a little concerned over the possibility of maintaining support if the winter continues. We (Wessex) say that we can maintain a major effort for 3-4 days before employers start screaming at us. If this continues until February that will be 8-10 weeks from the first cold snap in December.

Unfortunately I work in an Operations Control room which is a 24/7 affair supporting MOD so cant take time away from work to cover. Recently I've also been in training which cut into off duty hours. However as my shift allows me 4 days straight clear out of 8, I will endeavour to make myself more available in the future. :D
