BBC Radio Newcastle put out a call for help on behalf of a bride, due to be wed shortly in Durham.



RNE have responded......



We have a member currently ferrying cake and other wedding trimmings from Lanchester to Durham and the brides Aunt is being collected and driven to the train station by one of the YL members who is currently stuck in Scotland...Ian Clarke. (told you not to give your phone number to Diane Ian :lol: )



The Radio Station are due to call at Diane's today for an interview (Sarah, our press and Media officer will be handling it as Diane is far too busy juggling NDUC, Durham Police, Northumbria EPO and Sunderland EPO)



All good press and for a good cause too.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all concerned at 4x4 Response who have managed to make my little sister's wedding day less of a disaster and more of a wedding once more. My parents have had a huge weight lifted off their shoulders and my little sister looks like having the wedding she has always dreamed of. My sister's got a Disco TD5 so I'm sure we could ferry most of the guests between us anyway if it came to it. Would make for good wedding photos anyway! :D
