Some of those links a cracking results - well done to those who managed to get the coverage.

Just a thought though. There's several links to iPlayer. Don't the programs disappear forever after a week or so??

Do we need to get official copies/downloads or something so that we can keep an archive for the website??

TimChilde

You might want to check about copyrights.......you can't be too careful.

However, I can't think they'll mind if asked.

To archive any audio bits that may vanish with time, try downloading AUDACITY. It basically records whatever sound is coming thru the PC & you then get to save the recorded track in your chosen format. You can then upload & host in the normal way.

Dont ask me about the legal side - I have no idea (or interest!)

well done,

not many groups get press coverage even before being formally formed :)

We've been put on standby before we've been formed - is that a record (probably not) ;)

nigel leyland
09-01-2010, 02:10 AM
Quite possibly..........

Getting press coverage is not so easy normally, but when you do get some it tends to come in waves with everyone wanting a piece of the action.

So while it's topical and the media can't get enough....grab it, all if it, as often as you can :D

We've had the BBC out again today and I believe it's scheduled to be aired on Monday eve, I'll try and find a link and post it.

Oh, and make sure you get a release out to the 4x4 mags, any 4x4 mags........potential members read them don't cha know!!!!

In the meantime, I believe YL have had a TV item on the news, but I know no more than that, maybe one of the group could post a link?

Would it not be a good idea for someone to write a big 4 page National artice for the LR & 4x4 mags ( or maybe a couple so you could sell tem as exclusive) , mentioning the callouts from all the groups.

It would save local groups from all writing articles then competeing for space with each other & should make us look far more organised - impressive etc etc

While it's not quite along the same lines as most of the other media links here, we've had an appearance in the Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen. Only a recruitment ad really. Should be appearing in the Westmoreland Gazette too.
