hello all, just thought i'd say a quick hello to all. i am not a member of any group / club as yet. I am giving serious consideration to volunteering myself and my vehicle to aid others. (just a small matter of passing m.o.t. on 12/09, wish me luck)

i'm based in fleetwood, lancashire. (spent another day welding the rot box, don't ever buy an old abused disco, thats my best advice!)

Ok so you have a local group in North West 4x4 Response (http://www.nw4x4response.co.uk/) I'm sure they would like to hear from you!

have applied to join nw 4x4 response group, and have emailed them to let them know that i would like to become a member of the response network. so hopefully i may hear from them in the not too distant future.

have joined the group and been accepted. just sorting out paying subs for membership. so don't have a member number as yet but will keep you posted.

On a lighter note, the disco failed on welding and pitted rear discs. so have parts and metal / mig. they reckon £200 quid to weld it for me, so in for a penny etc, i'll get welding tomoz.

getting a quote off a mate later (can't be doing with more sleepless nights suffering from arc eye), but also on a budget, so may do it myself yet. got back left disc and pads fitted. why do they have to use so many obscure bolt sizes? 13mm 12point, 14mm 12point (real easy to find in fleetwood on saturday afternoon). but this is the joys of owning a landy. ;)

not too bad, using my old mate lumpy and my twisted old crowbar, lol. the gentle approach you see.

just settling down to tea, and awaiting the beloved arc eye to flare up. she's pretty much done, had a few awckward bits around the chassis and fuel tank, but lets see how she fairs for retest. and what fun on the brakes, two offside carrier bolts rounded before i even touched them......................

please tell me why we love landy's, seem to have forgot over past few days

maybe it's all the time away from the missus :D
