Is there a way to disable automatic topic subscription?

Every topic I add a reply on seems to add itself to my subscribed threads list, now I don't mind adding the odd thread for notification especially if its an important one, but I can't find where in my user CP that the notification preferences are set.

Can anyone shed some light?

User CP -> Edit option (http://www.4x4response.info/profile.php?do=editoptions)

If anyone else has this problem, use Simons link above, and change your "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to Do Not Subscribe. You can still subscribe to individual threads using the "thread tools" menu of the thread in question.
