The 5 & 6th of July sees Scotland have its first ever Emergency Services Show, which is being organised by the same people who put on the very successful Emergency Services Show @Stoneleigh. The show is at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow and with over a 120 exhibitors there is certainly something for everyone to see, it brings together many Emergency and Resilience Partners from all over Scotland.

The exhibition is only part of the activities, as the event is partnered with The Emergency Planning Society Resilience Seminar who are holding a number of seminars at the event.

Lothian 4x4 Response are exhibiting at the event, come and meet us on stand E177 and our display outside the main entrance. The team see this event as an excellent opportunity to meet with people with responsibilities within the Emergency and Resilience fields to allow them to find out more about what 4x4 Response is and how it may be of use in times of need.

Not long to go for this one now and certainly there seems to be a lot interest in this locally. If your visting the show make sure you come and say hello. I also understand that our colleagues from Cotag will also be there.

Well Lothian 4x4 Response spent the last two days at the Emergency Scotland Show raising the profile of 4x4 Response in Scotland.
Lots of interest in 4x4 Response in Scotland and many vistors were pointed in the right direction for contacting their local teams.
Our stand was very basic, but it did get the message over. We also had a vehicle on display outside amongst all the emergency vehicles.

I do hope you asked Strathclyde nicely to set up on their patch ;)
But seriously it looks good, the banners help make your "very basic" stand look very professional and you certainly look the part too. And I do like the awards on the table.. nice touch!
I had hoped to be at the EPS Conference through work even though it would use most of my training budget for the year. However by the time our Finance Section had decided what my budget was going to be, I had missed the "early bird" discount with free accomodation offer and the budget simply wasn't big enough to pay for it

It was more a general awareness thing for 4x4 Response rather than about individual team's, there were people from all round the country attending. Even saw people from other 4x4 Response Teams (Wales, Kent, Shetland, Tayside and even Strathclyde:D )
What we were pleased about was how many people knew about what Lothian 4x4 Response have done and were asking about, so clearly our PR strategy is working. imagine the efffect if we weren't so Shy! :p
Oh the trophies had to go somewhere that day as the Trophy Cabinet was due a clean........... :D Actually they help to make our stand different from all around and give people an easy way of talking to us, in that alot were interested in what they were for.
COTAG also had a stand but nobody turned up, so we even stuck some general leaflets on there, well at least until the stand was recycled.
