Raw TV are developing a new series for the Discovery Channel which will follow an international off-road 4x4 adventure across extreme environments. We are looking for a group of passionate 4x4 experts who have impressive driving and engineering skills and are willing to be filmed by us as they drive the toughest terrains on the planet.

Are you an off-road fanatic who could successfully drive the world’s toughest environments? Do you and a group of expert mates have a long running extreme off-road rivalry? Do you have a custom 4x4 motor that can’t be matched across deserts, swamps and mountains? Then we want to hear from you.

Raw TV are the makers of documentary series for all major international broadcasters, like the BBC, Channel 4 and National Geographic. We also make the hit Discovery UK motoring series’ Bangla Bangers and Chop Shop.

Please contact me on claire.prince@rawtelevision.co.uk or call on 0207 017 3974.

I directed Claire to 4x4 Response as it potentially not only provides a contact with the regional teams but also any local and national 4x4 clubs responders are members of. I'm sure Claire would be happy if members reposted here proposals above to other 4x4 forums to widen the search for the adventurous amogst the 4x4 community, I'm guessing that should potentially reach many, many thousands of like minded mud pluggers...! I also suggested Claire took a little time find out about the wrk of 4x4 Response across the UK, you never know it may give here an idea or two for another program!!!!

Nigel.

I'd take part but I drive a Freelander. Show it that kind of terrain and it would breakdown immediately. Put it in some water, and its a well know fact that the doors fall off. :(

They also have good engines that can be ripped out and fitted to Series Land Rovers like mine so that it has more power now for pulling your Disco Nigel the next time it breaks when we're out together!

;) :p

Just one little itty bitty problem I foresee there....it was one of those more powerfull engines that broke down.....maybe I should put the petrol 2.25 in the Disco then I can tow you back to camp!!!!!LOL

Seriously though, I intend to replace the D2 with a 110 csw or a Series 3, I`ve had so many technical faults with the the disco. I want something I can fix with a hammer, spit and chewing gum if a problem crops up.

It is a go a head for us. It comprises of a few challenges:- 1) Most northerly part of Canada to the most southerly part of south America. 2) London to Cape town in 8 days. 3)London to Singapore. 4) Circumnavigate the Arctic circle.

We've got some sponsors for the events so should do well with a bit more practice.:)

Been speaking to a friend of mine today who used to run a 4x4 hire place in Zambia and he reckons that the second challenge will be a killer.

Good luck with it.
