In the past week I have dealt with three - expecting these to die down from now on in the Mid Wales area as our snow is rapidly melting from the roads.

oh yes...things are freezing up in a big way...
I had to go out and do a recovery tonight........not 1 of the usual ones, but a newbie to offroading....he's been out with our club a few times, but today he decided to go for a little play in the snow on the local mountain road....unfortunately he didnt realize how bad the weather was till it was too late...stuck in 2 ft of snow and no shovel to dig himself out!!!
Took me and the wife over an hour to get to him, then we came accross 60ft wide 3ft deep drifts, which i deemed were impassible safely, so out with the big coats and boots!!
Chris was stuck about half a mile away on open moreland, temp had dropped to -3 when we got back to my truck!!
took us about 20-30 min to get to him, 10 min to look at how he was stuck and decide best method of recovery, 10 min of digging and placing waffles under wheels and job done...he's un stuck!!!
think he learned a big lesson the hard way tonight....
