As Bob has already stated, 8 of our 12 vehicles which originally attended the Bath and West Show ground were called away, leaving 4. Myself, Rob, Martin and Si were then tasked with carrying victims of a fictitious dirty bomb who had been 'decontaminated' from the show ground, to a school used as a rest centre in Wells. whilst there we had a few tasks, ranging from getting mock drugs from Boots, Penicillin from a Doctor, taking people to hospital and various other movements of people. We were not over stretched, we chatted to other organisations where possible and basically were noticed. We were being approached by the various organisations for tasks rather than just from one central organising body for much of the day, which suggests they are very much aware of us and what we can do.

There were several issues with the reality vs theory of the tasks we were given - for example no one knew if the 'drugs' had to be actually collected, or if they even existed in any form for quite some time. I also heard that the hospital had no idea who or what the exercise was about, and that the Doctor in question was also unaware. Everyone who represented us used their initiative and worked well, despite no designated leader we got on with the tasks and sorted it out amongst ourselves.

These are the pictures I took of the day, ending at the show ground where we dropped actors off at the end.

Unfortunatly my disco was parked up in the car park wishing it could of been involved :( .

Maybe next time, be great to see and hear more about it if there is anymore to tell :D :D

Isn't it very shiny! I know the rope is more useful on the drum but as it was such a rush to get the vehicle back on the road for the day, I didn't finish working on it until 11pm the night before, and I didn't really want to annoy my neighbours winding it on at that time!

Pete, if they were stopped for only a few minutes to map read then that was us, if not I'm guessing it must have been the 'operational' lot.

Cheers Matt, I think it looks a lot better. :D
