Just a quick intro from the Isle of Wight - Vectis 4x4 Response Team. Obviously as the new boys, I will be asking lots of questions!

Thanks for all the welcome messages. I'm sure we can sort something out with regard to training.

I'm sure your all keen to know what the 4x4 history is (get ready to laugh)

1st one was a Ford Explorer - Great truck, let the ex drive it and she killed it

Next came a Sportrak - that lasted a year till I killed it

Then a V6 Trooper that lasted 8 months till it went the same way as the Sportrak. Then it was a £250 Diesel Hilux that I 'Top Geared' (killed) although I did sell it for £300 and get £60 back on the tax (any clues as to how long that lasted??)

Now on my 2nd Trooper - SWB van one this time. I will try and look after this one as it cost £475!

And no, I dont want a Landrover - driving one is like having a fight!

You want to be carefull parking in puddles of oil, it gets on your boots and makes a mess of the carpets.

I had a cherokee like that, used araldite to seal the crack and PX it for the newer one.
