I have sent them two e-mails, saying "hi". Once/IF I get a reply I intend putting the idea to them.

Be interesting to see how they do things in Colorado. Seems they are a far more "official" organisation - I think with the weather in Colorado they probably are far more aware of the capabilities of 4x4s and their use in helping the community. If not exchange trips it might be worth sharing ideas / learning etc.
