BHC 4x4 Response were called out in the early hours of this morning to help supply food and drink to motorists stranded on the A1 in Bedfordshire, after a Lorry overturned and closed the road. The local Sainsburys store supplied drinks and food free of charge, which our volunteers distributed, they then ended up helping the Police and Highways Agency in clearing the shed load of soft drinks and getting the road cleared and open again.

A very successful call out with good feed back from all the organizations involved.

Not a word on the national news.

Not sure, I've not seen the news as I've been out on a call most of the evening, but apparently there was a sky news crew there doing a story.

Just had a quick look thru the SKY site but couldnt find anything..

On a simlar note I was filmed doing a couple of tow outs yesterday by a TV cameraman who was on his way to collect his journalist so they could do some snow news items - Guess I should have asked who he worked for

Radio 2 mentioned it on every traffic report I heard.

Also mentioned that support was being taken to stranded drivers.

No mention of 4x4 Response though.

And I thought Lynn Bowles was a member of the club ;)

I think Russ needs to update her :D

I think the reason it was mentioned so much was that Russ was updating her from the incident, the problem was that Lynn was having a really bad day with everything going on on the roads, as well as it being Terry's last day so he probably didn't get the opportunity to properly explain about 4x4 Response.

That explains it!

I would have been surprised if he wasn't keeping her informed given his background of hanging out with celebrities
