Just a quick question.

On Xmas Eve having dropped my wife off at work at the King’s Lynn Hospital I followed a Y reg Mondeo down the road. It was in full NHS Ambulance livery and blues with ‘Ambulance’ on the bonnet and both cills and ‘Fast Response’ on the rear bumper. There were also stickers of the Welsh dragon on both rear quarters and a smaller one on the tailgate. There were at least 2 people in it in green overalls with several bags of obvious medical kit. The intriguing bit was that it was fitted with a dog guard and had a German Shepherd type dog in the back. I followed it for about 4 miles on the road towards the coast before it turned off towards Sandringham House (the Queens house).

Do any of you Welsh guys have any idea where this vehicle would normally be stationed, what is its normal duty and why was it in Norfolk? Or am I just being nosey?

Flipancy aside..........did this motor have any NHS logo/insignia on....

It is entirely possible that it was a private amulance and totaly legit, and more than likely is, just something outside the norm.....however there are some people out there who seriously need to be watched carefully....and I'm thinking about one in particular!

Any more information you have would be welcome.....I can get details checked against known " Individuals " and see if there is any "corolation". Then if required bring it to the attention of the authorities....

Please don't ask me for more details than I've already stated as there is currently an extremely serious proscecution underway, and in all likelyhood this has absolutely nothing to do with it, but a check won't hurt!

I'll ask amongst my contacts in the East of England Ambulance Trust.

Or you could have a trawl through this site, it might be there?

http://www.ukemergency.co.uk/

All sorts of things are on there including my old works truck :D

Look up EX54 EHP in the miscellaneous section

- ambulance

- dog in back

- welsh stickers

- Sandringham

what dogs does HM have? - Welsh Corgis!!!

Alasdair

So Corgis are just short legged Welsh German Shepherds then? :?

You're right - it all adds up - apart from the Y reg Mondeo bit!

If it says it was NHS, it was NHS.....possibly something a tad unusal dsigned or adapted for a specific/specialist role...

or it may have just been an odd "loaded for assessment" motor!
