Greetings to all and a Happy New Year, a little late I know but have just returned from Afghanistan.

I've been a member on here a while but never really had a capable vehicle, until now. Got myself a Disco 2 TD5, 2" suspension lift, 31" tyres, wading kit and a few other bits. Only really done off roading and green laning so far but looking at getting involved with some of the response networks.

I am based at RAF Benson, Oxfordshire but live in Nottingham most weekends and when Im on leave. So who is the around Nottingham area at the moment? Any activities up and coming? And who do I need to speak to about registering as an area responder.

New to all of this so be gentle.

Cheers guys.

Andy

Details of your local group can be found ---> over on the right
the 'Groups' and 'Group Register' links will give you contact details,

Andrew Whitworth (http://www.4x4response.info/member.php?u=191) is the Notts Group Rep on here, I'd suggest using the 'email' rather than PM option as he doesn't appear to be one of those who needs a daily online 'fix'.

using the 'Search Members',
I see that 12 out of the 14 Notts members on the forum all have Discos,
but I can't think of a punchline... Doh!

Haha.

Thanks for all the info Mario.
Good to see the sense of humour is similar to that im used to. Banter until they can take no more, and then add a little extra.

Will give the guys in Notts a shout and see what I come up with.

For your info Andy, if you become a responder for the Notts Team, it is perfectly possible for you, with a little liason between the group controllers, to respond for any other team in what ever area you happen to be posted, provided you are available, I'm also sure you'll be welcome at other teams meetings/events.:D

Unfortunately not every one understands the military style of banter, but they will get used to it......eventually :)
