Looking to join the local response team for my area (Leighton Buzzard / Milton Keynes)

Currently drive a non modified Nissan x trail.

Is there anything else I would need to get/do before I could join?

What would my nearest group be? I believe I am in the middle of 2+ groups.

Does age have an effect on being a responder?

Thanks for the reply Trev, is it common practise to join one group or groups in your area. What sort of radius does Hertfordshire cover?

I guess what I am trying to find out is how far does Hertfordshire extend to and would there be a group more suited to myself in Leighton Buzzard hat is active. I believe there are grip surrounding me and want to pick the one that is most suited.

We cover the whole of Hertfordshire (and North London) but membership is fairly thin in the West of the county with most members seeming to be around the A1 corridor and the East of the County with a few in North London.

Leighton Buzzard falls under BHC 4x4 Response who have a bit of a wider spread, indeed their former coordinator lived in Leighton Buzzard :D
