Vectis are in the process of signing up with age uk to help deliver their winter in a box which is part of their extream weather support scheme.
This provides help and suport for older island residents who may be at risk in extended periods of extream cold weather.
These boxes could provide electric blanket, thermal socks, gloves, hats, salt for paths etc

We are also looking into working with the food bank and meals on wheels.

We now have 23 drivers and 4 helpers.

Sounds like something we were involved in a few years back.
It was a real job, a village had lost its gas main during a big freeze. Amongst other things we were tasked with delivering fan heaters and electric hobs to the elderly and vulnerable.

One thing that we learnt is that it will take much longer than you thought. You will have to explain who you are, be prepared to chat, show them what you've brought, how to use it, who's going to pay for it etc etc etc.

Its not a problem as long as you budget plenty of time for each drop!

Ps. Dont ask what happened when everyone plugged in their 2 fan heaters and 2 ring hob but lets just say gas wasn't the only problem afterwards
