Hello from Swindon
 

Hi guys,

I first became aware of 4x4 response back in February and think it's a fantastic idea! Back then I'd just gotten my latest Land Rover but didn't join because it didn't have any of the kit on the application form. A slightly naive decision let's be fair!

Anyway I've fired off a mail to the wessex guys stating my interest. I've got a strong outdoor background so hopefully I'll be of use. Well, hopefully I won't be of any use and we'll have perfect weather for ever more, but that's not likely.

Welcome, where did you send the E-mail? You might want to hit the join link at http://www.wessex4x4response.org.uk/

Re the equipment the application form asks what you have, really so that we can deploy the right vehicle -- we wouldn't expect anyone to have all the kit.

I used the form on the site. Maybe it didn't work as I used my pc at work to do it. I'll try the join page at home just in case. Thanks!

Hi Dom,

I'm the webmaster for the Wessex site and can tell you that we're having intermittant problems with our 'Contact Us' page. That's being investigated right now, but do use the 'Join Us' link from the top of our homepage. (that does work, and will collect the data we need to start the application process rolling.)

I am one of two Team Managers that cover the Swindon area, so once we receive your application, we may well meet up soon.

As a note for your diary, our next North Wilts pub meet will be held
at 8pm on Fri 10 Dec, at the Dumb Post Inn, Bremhill, Calne SN11 9JZ.
So if we don't meet up before then, do come along and say "Hi".

Hi Peter,
in the last year we've been busy recruiting new Wessex members near you, now in Swindon we have 4 full Wessex members, and a couple of recruits who are attending induction training this weekend.

If you'd like to meet up, we hold a regular monthly pub meet for the two teams we have this area. It's always in a different pub, the regular thing about it is that it's usually held on or just before the 2nd weekend of each month. I've put details of next month's meet in an earlier post above, you're very welcome to drop in and say Hi.

Hi Dom - I'm a newbie too so look forward to meeting you - at the pub in December if not before - I've got a Cherokee but please don't hold that against me!

thanks mario for the invite as you may know i used to have very close links with the wessex team
past history i am away the second weekend of decmber as my daughter is getting wed so may not make it this time round but i will pop along to one soon be nice to meet back up with the guys
