Hi guys,

I first became aware of 4x4 response back in February and think it's a fantastic idea! Back then I'd just gotten my latest Land Rover but didn't join because it didn't have any of the kit on the application form. A slightly naive decision let's be fair!

Anyway I've fired off a mail to the wessex guys stating my interest. I've got a strong outdoor background so hopefully I'll be of use. Well, hopefully I won't be of any use and we'll have perfect weather for ever more, but that's not likely.

Re the equipment the application form asks what you have, really so that we can deploy the right vehicle -- we wouldn't expect anyone to have all the kit.

I used the form on the site. Maybe it didn't work as I used my pc at work to do it. I'll try the join page at home just in case. Thanks!

I'm the webmaster for the Wessex site and can tell you that we're having intermittant problems with our 'Contact Us' page. That's being investigated right now, but do use the 'Join Us' link from the top of our homepage. (that does work, and will collect the data we need to start the application process rolling.)

I am one of two Team Managers that cover the Swindon area, so once we receive your application, we may well meet up soon.

As a note for your diary, our next North Wilts pub meet will be held
at 8pm on Fri 10 Dec, at the Dumb Post Inn, Bremhill, Calne SN11 9JZ.
So if we don't meet up before then, do come along and say "Hi".
