Default Strange NHS vehicle

Just a quick question.

On Xmas Eve having dropped my wife off at work at the King’s Lynn Hospital I followed a Y reg Mondeo down the road. It was in full NHS Ambulance livery and blues with ‘Ambulance’ on the bonnet and both cills and ‘Fast Response’ on the rear bumper. There were also stickers of the Welsh dragon on both rear quarters and a smaller one on the tailgate. There were at least 2 people in it in green overalls with several bags of obvious medical kit. The intriguing bit was that it was fitted with a dog guard and had a German Shepherd type dog in the back. I followed it for about 4 miles on the road towards the coast before it turned off towards Sandringham House (the Queens house).

Do any of you Welsh guys have any idea where this vehicle would normally be stationed, what is its normal duty and why was it in Norfolk? Or am I just being nosey?
