Thanks, that's good advice. I'll also get a feel over the next week or so for how active the MROC group is, having contacted them for a bit of clarification on a couple of points... Shall be looking to get everything sorted out early in October I think.
Try attending some of the groups meetings, you don't have to be a member. I'm sure they'll welcome you and you will get an idea of who you fit in with best.

Thanks Robin... I've started to make some contact with car owner groups as well, not sure if every Response group is attached to a 4x4 owner club as well, but continuing my investigations
I'm writing to each of the nearby groups direct to see what events might be good, which will also save the mods here the trouble of my posting before my account gets upgraded
