Default Hi from Surrey

Hi,

I'm Chris Martin

I drive an ex Police Defender 110 SW which i have expedition prepped, and am hoping to join the South East team as a responder.

I have a fair bit of experience in off road driving, having done the Croisiere Blanche in the Alps back in 2007, and quite a few competition events in the UK (winching and orienteering).

Since the snow last Feb, I have been thinking of joining the team along with a few mates, as we have extensive recovery gear and only really use it on competitions, so would be nice to put it to some real use. I plucked a couple of mercs out of the ditches in Windsor great park last Feb, and that's what got me thinking about joining.

Anyway- hope to see you all when the **** hits the fan

Chris

a few photos of my truck- and the most interesting recovery we have done (halfway up a mountain near Orcieres in France)

Hi Chris, welcome to 4x4 Response.

I am sure that someone from South East England 4x4 Response will come along and say "Hi" soon. I know that all teams could do with additional members. If not please go to their joining page

One thing that I do need to mention just to save any confusion.

4x4 Response teams tend to be used mostly for logistic support i.e. fetching and carrying of goods and people. We tend to leave recovery to the companies that are paid and insured to do that work. The main reason for carrying recovery gear within 4x4 Response is to recover colleagues from our own organisation, when working as a team in adverse conditions such as the snow.

Other than that I must say that your wagon looks like a nice tidy addition to "the fleet".
